The architecture of this exhibition was inspired by the apartment from the film Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (1975). As a film student, Moumouh developed a fascination for Akerman's films: "Akerman managed to capture the essence of the actual apartments, rather than relying on sterile studio settings, thus creating an intimate cinematic experience." To map the spaces from the film, Moumouh observed the actors' movements, counted the bathroom and kitchen tiles, and estimated the furniture's dimensions. This painstakingly created floorplan is the foundation for the exhibition architecture of Her Voice.
